You may be suffering from protein deficiency. Protein helps to strengthen and promote hair growth. Make sure to eat about two to three-ounce servings of meat. You can also substitute meat with four to five servings of dairy and beans.
Make sure to include vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes and foods that are naturally rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as salmon, tuna, sardines, and oysters.
Stop bad hair habits.

In many cases, excessive hair fall is simply a result of your bad habits. Here are some bad hair habits that you might be doing:
- Vigorously rubbing your wet hair. – Hand squeeze excess water from your hair and just pat dry or gently towel your hair dry.
- Tying your hair too tight. Don’t use rubber bands when tying your hair because it can cause breakage and hair fall.
- Frequent perming, straightening irons, curling wands, hair dyeing, and using other harsh chemicals can cause your hair to become dry and brittle and to eventually fall off easily.
- Washing your hair with hot water, which can cause your hair to become dry and brittle over time.
Do home remedies.
It also won’t hurt if you start observing or doing some of the more popular home remedies.

- Directly apply pure aloe gel to your scalp. Massage and leave it on for a few hours. Wash with lukewarm water. Do this at least twice a week for best results.
- Daily oil massage is also effective in controlling hair fall. Aside from coconut oil, you can use Jojobo oil, mustard oil, lavender oil, and almond oil.
Seek medical treatment.
Again, there are many underlying reasons for hair loss, including vitamin and nutritional deficiencies, major stress, drastic weight loss, pregnancy, menopause, thyroid problems, and certain drugs like steroids.
If a medical condition is causing your hair loss, then a natural remedy will not suffice and you’ll need to consult your doctor or your dermatology to identify what specific condition or illness that is causing your hair to fall excessively. Your doctor may prescribe drugs, topical medication or therapy.
