Shekinah Montessori House

Shekinah Montessori House has been providing quality pre-school education since 1999 for children from 18 months to 6 years old. They can choose various forms of services, i.e. childcare, kindergarten and enrichment programmes that are anchored with the methods and beliefs set forth by the world renowned Dr. Maria Montessori.

Dr. Maria Montessori's famous statement - 'the most important period in life is not the age of university studies but from birth to the age of six' - has been endorsed by many scholars and early childhood experts over the years. Like Dr. Maria, we believe that each child is a unique individual and should be properly understood, groomed and respected and in the process they can be developed holistically to become our future leaders with a positive mindset and healthy spirit.

In our unique approach to early childhood education, we have integrated 'Project Approach discussion' into our Montessori curriculum. This bold deviation from 'pure' Montessori has proven to be positive, as our kindergarten children are intellectually ready to explain, discuss, debate and even argue their ideas with one another. It allows active social interaction among the children and through this they gained mutual respect and develop pro-social behaviour.
